Carmen provides Ayurvedic Consultations, Ayurvedic Treatments, Massage, and Natural Fertility Management. She served on the Faculty as a Student Clinic Supervisor at The Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and taught the Shamana Applied skills class there and at the Vasant Institute of Ayurveda Pune, India.
East West Ayurveda
Carmen (Sharanya) began her exploration into alternative therapies by first studying Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage with Dharmabodhi and later graduated in 1992 from Nature Care College in Sydney, Australia as a Licensed Massage Therapist. In 1992, she opened a successful alternative health clinic in Avalon, Sydney.
Looking to deepen her understanding of alternative health, she began to study Ayurveda at Nature Care College in Sydney. Her continued interest in Ayurveda led her to New Mexico where she studied with Dr. Vasant Lad and graduated from the ASP1 and Guru kula program at The Ayurvedic Institute in the 2000 and 2001
She then continued her studies in India with Dr. Sunil Joshi in Nagpur and graduated with a Certificate of Ayurveda. In 2004 she interned at Poonthottam Ayurveda Ashram in Kerala under the direction of Dr Raveendranath and also with Dr Vijith Sasidhar at Sree Krishna Chikitsa Kendram in Kerala, India.
She has served as a clincal assistant and pancha karma therapist at The Arogya Center in Albuquerque New Mexico and continues to deepen her Ayurvedic knowledge under Vaidya Kashyapa at The Arogya Center.
For the past 16 years she has been the owner of East West Ayurveda clinic in New Mexico .
As a certified Natural Fertility Management Counselor, having studied with Francesca Naish in Sydney, Carmen also teaches clients how to manage their fertility naturally.
